Our own Founder and Chairman, John Nash was recently featured by Raconteur in their article: “How CIO’s can guard against a tech skills exodus”
The article questions: „As economies reopen around the world, the tech skills crisis is hitting epic proportions. How can CIOs compete for employees?”
John talks on the issues facing companies when hiring in the current market. “If you ask people to put their priorities in order, money is nearly always ranked at three or four,” he states, “But in tech, you find managers or founders focus too much on that and less on the things that create job satisfaction, which most people put at number one.”
At Nicholson, where we work with numerous decision makers who are looking to hire talent and more often than not, fighting for the best of the best – this definitely rings true!
Employee retention methods are seemingly overlooked in many organisations, and when staff satisfaction isn’t achieved and individuals choose to leave in this candidate short market – a skill vacuum is created. Which in turn, slows down project turn-over and effects revenue.
Our CEO also talks on Brexit, salary bidding wars, career development and more.
