Our annual kick-off meetings give us a chance to get together with our international teams from London, France, and Germany to spend time together as a team but most importantly to discuss last year’s success and our plans for the year ahead.
We decided to get out of the busy city and to escape to the picturesque Centre Parc’s in the countryside of Bedfordshire.
Our morning meetings took place over the course of 2 days where we heard from our business leaders, including our new Director of Dach – Karina Lovrec.
Our CEO, Julien Gargowitsch, gave a speech which described Nicholson’s journey to becoming the company it is today; and highlighting his vision for the future. As Nicholson practices transparency with our whole business, the team also looked at our profit margins and our leadership team made their predictions for 2023.
We also heard from our management team, where each of the directors outlined their teams’ yearly targets, their goals to expand, and the strategies they plan to put in place to achieve them.
Additionally, our Director of Operations and Chief Marketing Officer gave presentations to illustrate the changes our company have made to our processes, tools, and the approach to building our brand as a whole.
The activities
Our trip to centre parcs definitely wasn’t all work! Our team got the choice of a variety of different activities to take part in after the meetings.
Some of us conquered some great heights with Aerial Tree Trekking, finishing the – quite chilly – expedition with a zipline across the lake, others enjoyed warmer games like badminton, and laser quest.
We then finished our evenings with a lovely dinner and debriefed on the day!
Take away
The Kick-off was a smashing success, giving our consultant an always much-appreciated breath of fresh air. As a business, we are always looking ahead to innovate and to have our team bring forward suggestions on how we can improve working life here even more.
