The new year has begun with great momentum at Nicholson Search and Selection. Our kickoff meeting in London was not only a significant event for our company but also a memorable experience for all attendees. Here’s a recap of the highlights from the event.
The day before the kickoff meeting, we held our internal Management Conference. This gathering brought together our leadership team to engage in critical discussions and strategic planning for the year ahead.
The kickoff’s preparation was intense, involving meticulous planning and coordination by the Operations team members in the UK, Germany and France. Despite an unforeseen challenge—a snowstorm leading to the cancellation of all flights from Frankfurt—our team demonstrated great problem-solving skills. Within just two hours, alternative travel arrangements were made, ensuring that our colleagues from Frankfurt could join us by taking a train to Brussels and then the Eurostar to London.
A Warm Welcome to New team Members
Every year, we are looking forward to this time together, as our kickoff meetings are celebrations of our team’s unity and spirit. This year, new team members, including Silvana Capalbo (DE), Tatjana Goricki (DE), Sébastien Tuil (FR), Syrine Talbi (FR), Tom Bassett (UK), and Chris Rosebert (UK), were warmly welcomed. It was heartening to see the camaraderie and enthusiasm among our colleagues, both new and old.
An Iconic Venue: Emirates Stadium
The Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal F.C., served as an impressive and unique venue for our the meeting. Not only did we enjoy the grandeur of the stadium, but we were also guided by the legendary Charlie George, adding a touch of history and excitement to the day.
Productive Work Sessions
This kickoff meeting marked a pivotal moment for Nicholson Search and Selection. With our teams expanding across three European countries and a new office in Paris, we are poised for significant growth. The meeting included comprehensive work sessions where we reviewed our achievements in 2023 and laid out our strategic plans for 2024.
It was particularly significant as it was the first time our teams from the newly opened offices in Frankfurt and Paris were brought together.
Celebration and Recognition
The day was not just about work; it was also about celebration. The evening included a delightful dinner at Hawksmoor, where we enjoyed delicious food, fun games, and great company.
